History of the Hall
In 1922, an agreement was made to build The Miners’ Welfare Hall.
A local farmer and JP Mr Seth Puddle gave a parcel of land on which to build a Hall, for the benefit of the community. The contract to start building was signed in 1933. The cost was £789.

Trusteeship passed to Breconshire County County in 1971, under Section 18 of the Charities Act 1960. The trusteeship has passed on to the local authority at each boundary change since.
In Spring 2024, the Hall was awarded £144,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund to upgrade the Hall and increase activities for the local community.
The Llanelly Hill Hub Project was launched in October 2024.
